123 Reporting to the Minister

(1)

The Director‑General must give the Minister a report in relation to any matter prescribed by the regulations for a period prescribed by the regulations.

Note:

The Director‑General is also under a duty to keep the Minister informed about certain matters (see section 19 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013).

(2)

Subsection (1) is subject to any Commonwealth law that prohibits disclosure of particular information.

(3)

If the Director‑General gives the Minister a report under subsection (1), the Minister may give a copy of the whole or any part of the report to the Minister or Ministers administering the following Acts:

(a)

the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation Act 1987;

(b)

the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Act 1998.
