Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Act 2024

Each of the following is a material activity:

having possession or control of NNP material or NNP equipment or plant in a designated zone or an Australian submarine;

using NNP material in a designated zone or an Australian submarine;

using or operating NNP equipment or plant in a designated zone or an Australian submarine;

maintaining, storing or disposing of NNP material or NNP equipment or plant in a designated zone or an Australian submarine.

Paragraphs (a) to (d) are not necessarily mutually exclusive of each other.

However, an activity covered by subsection (1) is not a material activity if the regulations prescribe that the activity is not a material activity.
