The Regulator

In force

For the purposes of achieving the objects of this Act, this Act:

(a)

establishes the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator; and

(b)

confers functions on the Regulator in relation to regulated activities (such as promoting, monitoring and enforcing compliance with this Act); and

(c)

ensures the independence of the Regulator.

Note:

Part 5 deals with the Regulator.
