Concurrent operation of State law

In force

This Act is not intended to exclude or limit the operation of any State or Territory law, to the extent that the State or Territory law is capable of operating concurrently with this Act.

Note:

Under the general policy guidelines set out in section 16, the Ombudsman must avoid duplicating the operations of other agencies of the Commonwealth, States and Territories and must work co‑operatively with those agencies.
