105 Reporting by aircraft operators
Aviation industry participants who are aircraft operators must report aviation security incidents (other than cyber security incidents) in accordance with this section.
An incident that relates to an airport must be reported to the operator of the airport.
An incident that relates to the aircraft of another aircraft operator must be reported to that other operator.
An incident that relates to an aircraft of the aircraft operator must be reported to:
the Secretary; and
the Australian Federal Police or the police force of a State or a Territory.
An incident that relates to an aircraft of the aircraft operator and is:
an unlawful interference with aviation; or
a threat of unlawful interference with aviation that is assessed by the operator as credible; or
a threat of unlawful interference with aviation that the operator is unable to assess;
must be reported to:
if the aircraft is in flight—Airservices Australia; or
if the aircraft is at an airport—the operator of the airport.
