95 Evidentiary certificates
The Inspector‑General may sign a certificate that states any of the following in relation to an infringement notice given to a person:
that the amount specified in the notice was not fully paid by the person within the time specified in the notice;
that the Inspector‑General granted, or refused to grant, an extension of time to the person to pay the amount specified in the notice;
if the Inspector‑General granted an extension of time to the person to pay the amount specified in the notice—that that amount was not fully paid by the person within the period specified in the extension;
that the infringement notice was withdrawn under subsection 93(2) on a day specified in the certificate.
At a hearing of a prosecution for an offence alleged in an infringement notice, a certificate signed by the Inspector‑General in accordance with subsection (1) is prima facie evidence of the matters specified in the certificate.
A certificate that purports to be signed by the Inspector‑General is taken to have been signed by the Inspector‑General unless the contrary is proved.
