47 Requirements for operators to provide 24/7 contact information
This section applies for the purposes of:
preventing a listed human disease from entering, or establishing itself or spreading in, Australian territory or a part of Australian territory; or
preventing a listed human disease from spreading to another country.
The operator of an incoming passenger aircraft or vessel, or an outgoing passenger aircraft or vessel, must provide the Director of Human Biosecurity with the prescribed contact information for an individual nominated by the operator.
Civil penalty: 120 penalty units.
The individual whose contact information is provided under subsection (2) must be reasonably able to be contacted at any time.
The operator must ensure that the contact information provided is kept up‑to‑date.
Civil penalty: 120 penalty units.
The contact information must be provided in the manner prescribed by the regulations (if any).
