Appropriate person to provide officers etc. with facilities and assistance

In force

(1)

An appropriate person for premises entered under a provision referred to in section 513 must provide the following persons with all reasonable facilities and assistance for the effective exercise of their powers while on the premises:

(a)

any biosecurity enforcement officer or biosecurity officer who enters the premises;

(b)

any person assisting the biosecurity enforcement officer or biosecurity officer.

Fault‑based offence

(2)

A person commits an offence if:

(a)

the person is subject to subsection (1); and

(b)

the person fails to comply with that subsection.

Penalty for contravention of this subsection: 30 penalty units.
