68 Requiring an individual to remain at a place
An officer who intends to impose a human biosecurity control order on an individual may require the individual to remain, for a period of no more than 6 hours, at the place where the individual was when the officer became satisfied that a human biosecurity control order should be imposed on the individual.
A non‑Australian citizen who is required to remain at a place is entitled to consular assistance under section 102.
A person who does not comply with the requirement to remain at a place may be detained under Subdivision B of Division 4.
Once the period has ended, the individual must not be required under subsection (1) to remain at that place any longer.
However, the individual may be required under subsection 74(4) to remain at that place in order to comply with an isolation measure.
