49 Secretary may obtain information or documents
If the Secretary reasonably believes that a person has:
knowledge of information; or
custody or control of documents;
relating to whether a civil penalty provision of this Act has been complied with, the Secretary may give a written notice to the person requiring the person to provide the information or produce the documents to the Secretary.
The notice must specify:
the period within which the person must comply with the notice; and
the manner in which the person must comply with the notice.
The specified period mentioned in paragraph (2)(a) must end at least 14 days after the notice is given.
