28 General functions of Commonwealth Bank
(1)
The Commonwealth Bank shall carry on general banking business.
(2)
This section is not intended to imply any restriction on the functions or powers that may be conferred on the Commonwealth Bank otherwise than under this section.
(3)
This section does not prevent the Commonwealth Bank also being in possession of an authority under the Banking Act 1959 to carry on banking business.
