3QA Applying for a search warrant or an order for assistance
(1)
An application for the issue of a warrant under subsection 3E(1) or (2), or for an order under subsection 3LA(1), must be in writing and may be made:
(a)
in person; or
(b)
by electronic means.
(2)
The issuing officer may:
(a)
require further communication either in person, or by electronic means, to the extent that it is practicable in the circumstances; and
(b)
make a recording of the whole or any part of any such communication.
