37 Employees with at least 10 years service

(1)

This section applies to a transferring employee whose period of service for the purposes of the Long Service Leave Act immediately before the conversion time was at least 10 years.

(2)

Even though the employee ceases to be employed in Government Service for the purposes of the Long Service Leave Act, the employee’s accrued rights under that Act continue. However, the employee is not entitled to receive any payment because he or she ceases to be in Government Service.

(3)

The Long Service Leave Act has effect after the conversion time in relation to the employee’s rights under that Act that accrued before the conversion time, as if Dairy Australia Limited were an approving authority for the purposes of that Act.
