Designs Act 2003

The old Act continues to apply to an application made under the old Act before the commencing day as if the old Act had not been repealed, unless a conversion request is made under section 159 in respect of the application.

However, an application for an extension of time in relation to an application mentioned in subsection (1) must be made under section 137 of this Act.

If, after dealing with an application under the old Act, the Registrar is required to register the design to which the application relates, the Registrar must comply with section 45 of this Act in relation to the registration of the design.
