Part 3 not to apply to certain RFA forestry operations

(1)

Part 3 does not apply to an RFA forestry operation that:

(a)

is undertaken in accordance with an RFA; and

(b)

is completed prior to the sunset day.

Note:

The effect of this subsection is that Part 3 will apply to an RFA forestry operation that commences on or after the sunset day.

In this Division:

RFA or regional forest agreement has the same meaning as in the Regional Forest Agreements Act 2002.

RFA forestry operation has the same meaning as in the Regional Forest Agreements Act 2002.

sunset day means the day after the end of the period of 12 months beginning on 1 July 2026.

Note:

This section does not apply to some RFA forestry operations. See section 42.
