216 Secretary may require action to be taken after export licence revoked
This section applies if:
a person was given notice of revocation of an export licence under subsection 211(3) or 214(1); or
the export licence was revoked under Division 1 or 2.
The Secretary may, in writing, direct the person to take specified action, within a specified period after the export licence is revoked, in relation to the export operations and prescribed goods that were covered by the licence. The action must be action that is necessary for the purpose of achieving one or more objects of this Act.
A direction to a person under subsection (2) must state that the person could commit an offence or be liable to a civil penalty if the person fails to comply with the direction.

A person who is given a direction under subsection (2) must comply with the direction.
Fault‑based offence
A person commits an offence if:
the person is given a direction under subsection (2); and
the person engages in conduct; and
the conduct contravenes the direction.
Penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years or 120 penalty units, or both.
Civil penalty provision
A person is liable to a civil penalty if the person contravenes subsection (4).
Civil penalty: 240 penalty units.
