106A Review of the scheme

(1)

The Minister must cause an independent review of the assistance scheme provided for by this Act to be conducted in accordance with subsections (1A) and (1B).

(1A)

The first review must be completed, and a written report given to the Minister, by a date determined by the Minister that is no later than the fifth anniversary of the commencement of Schedule 1 to the Export Market Development Grants Legislation Amendment Act 2020.

(1B)

Each subsequent review must be completed, and a written report given to the Minister, by a date determined by the Minister that is no later than 5 years after the completion of the previous review.

(2)

In conducting the review, submissions from the public must be called for and public hearings may be conducted.

(4)

The Minister must cause a copy of the report to be laid before each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days after receiving it.
