67ZBL Review of provisions

(1)

The Minister must arrange for the conduct of a review of the operation of this Subdivision, and regulations made for the purposes of this Subdivision, to start at both of the following times:

(a)

no later than 12 months after the commencement of this section;

(b)

as soon as practicable after the end of 3 years after that commencement.

(2)

The review mentioned in paragraph (1)(b) is to be completed within 12 months of the day the review starts.

(3)

Both reviews must consider the effectiveness of the Subdivision and regulations in meeting the objectives of the National Strategic Framework for Information Sharing between the Family Law and Family Violence and Child Protection Systems endorsed by the Meeting of Attorneys‑General.

Note:

The National Framework could in 2023 be viewed on the Attorney‑General’s Department’s website (https://www.ag.gov.au/).

(4)

The Minister must arrange for reports of both reviews to be prepared.

(5)

Copies of a report must be tabled in each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after the completion of the report.
