Federal Court Rules 2011

Rule 2.27, as amended by Part 1 of the amending Rules, applies in relation to a document lodged for filing on or after the commencement of the amending Rules, whether the document relates to a proceeding that starts before, on or after that commencement.

Rule 2.27A, as inserted by Part 1 of the amending Rules, applies in relation to an application for leave that is made on or after the commencement of the amending Rules.

Division 5.3, as added by Part 1 of the amending Rules, applies in relation to communications and conduct occurring in a proceeding on or after the commencement of the amending Rules, whether the proceeding starts before, on or after that commencement.

Rule 6.11 and Part 3.7 of Schedule 2, as amended by Part 2 of the amending Rules, apply in relation to a hearing that starts on or after the commencement of the amending Rules, whether the hearing is for a proceeding that starts before, on or after that commencement.

Division 6.3, as added by Part 2 of the amending Rules, applies in relation to the livestreaming of a proceeding on or after the commencement of the amending Rules, whether the proceeding starts before, on or after that commencement.

Divisions 33.2 and 36.5, as amended by Part 3 of the amending Rules, apply in relation to an appeal that is instituted on or after the commencement of the amending Rules.
