26 Period for making a decision on a permit application—default period
(1)
If the CEO receives an application for a special transit permit, the CEO must decide whether to grant the permit within the period of 30 days starting after the day the competent authority of the OECD country from which the waste is to be exported gives the CEO written notification of the export (the decision period).
Note:
This period may be paused or extended under regulation 11, 28 or 28A.
(2)
If the CEO has not decided whether to grant the permit by the end of the decision period, the CEO is to be taken to have decided, on the last day of that period, to grant the permit.
