129AEE Notice of decision to waive, or not to waive, a debt

(1)

The Chief Executive Medicare must give written notice of the following decisions:

(a)

a decision to waive a debt under subsection 129AED(3);

(b)

a decision to pay an amount under subsection 129AED(4);

(c)

a decision not to waive a debt under subsection 129AED(3), or not to pay an amount under subsection 129AED(4), because the Chief Executive Medicare is not satisfied of the matter referred to in paragraph 129AED(1)(d).

(2)

The notice must be given to the dental practitioner who provided the service referred to in subsection 129AED(1), or to his or her estate.

(3)

A failure to give notice under this section of a decision does not affect the validity of the decision.
