Part 2Transitional provisions relating to the transfer of Medibank Private from the Health Insurance Commission to a separate organisation (the nominated company)
Division 1Introduction
6 Fund‑transfer day
(1)
The Minister may, by writing, determine that a specified day is the fund‑transfer day for the purposes of this Part.
(2)
The day must:
(a)
be after the commencement of this section; and
(b)
be a day when the nominated company is registered as a registered health benefits organisation under the National Health Act 1953.
(3)
The determination has effect accordingly.
(4)
A copy of a determination under subsection (1) is to be published in the Gazette within 14 days after the making of the determination.
