8L Authorisation to exercise powers under this Part
(1)
The Chief Executive Medicare may, by instrument in writing, authorise the powers under this Part to be exercised in connection with an investigation that the Chief Executive Medicare is conducting in the performance of his or her functions.
(2)
Powers under this Part must not be exercised unless they are exercised in connection with an investigation for which such an authorisation is in force.
