8Q Content of notices

(1)

The notice must specify:

(a)

how the person is to give the information or how the document is to be produced; and

(b)

the period within which the person is to give the information, or to produce the document, to the Chief Executive Medicare; and

(c)

the Departmental employee (if any) to whom the information is to be given or the document is to be produced; and

(d)

that the notice is given under section 8P.

(2)

The period specified under paragraph (1)(b) must end at least 14 days after the notice is given.

(3)

The notice may require the person to give the information by appearing before a specified Departmental employee to answer questions.

(4)

If the notice requires the person to appear before a Departmental employee, the notice must specify a time and a place for the person to appear. The time must be at least 14 days after the notice is given.
