Industrial Chemicals Act 2019

The Executive Director has the following functions:

the functions conferred on the Executive Director by this Act;

to promote the international harmonisation of regulatory controls or standards for industrial chemicals;

any other function prescribed by the rules for the purposes of this paragraph;

any other functions conferred on the Executive Director by any other Act;

to advise the Minister about matters relating to any of the functions mentioned in paragraph (a), (b), (c) or (d).

The Secretary of the Department may require the Executive Director to perform functions or carry out duties for the Department in relation to chemicals to the extent to which they do not interfere with the performance of functions referred to in subsection (1).
