24 Public consultation about decision‑making principles
Before making, varying or revoking the decision‑making principles, the Minister must:
cause to be published on the Environment Department’s website a notice:
setting out the proposed principles or the proposed variation or revocation of the principles; and
inviting persons to make submissions to the Minister about the proposed principles, or the proposed variation or revocation of the principles, in the manner, and within the time limit, specified in the notice; and
consider any submissions that:
are made in accordance with the invitation; and
are relevant to the making, variation or revocation of the principles (as the case may be).
The time limit must not be shorter than 20 business days after the notice is published.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a variation of the decision‑making principles if the variation is of a minor nature.
