DETERMINATION
The Australian Broadcasting Authority made this plan for broadcasting services in the Canberra area, under subsection 26(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.
Eleven national radio broadcasting services are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the national radio broadcasting services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.2 - 1.9, and 1.21 and 1.22 to this Determination.
Four commercial radio broadcasting services are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the commercial radio broadcasting services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.11 - 1.16 to this Determination.
Four community radio broadcasting services are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the community radio broadcasting services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.18, 1.19, 1.23, - 1.26, 1.31 and 1.33 to this Determination.
Five open narrowcasting radio services are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the open narrowcasting radio services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.27 - 1.30 and 1.32 to this Determination.
One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 2.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the community radio broadcasting service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 2.1 are set out in Schedule Two and Attachments 2.2 and 2.3 to this Determination.
One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 3.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the community radio broadcasting service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 3.1 are set out in Schedule Three and Attachment 3.2 to this Determination.
One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 4.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the community radio broadcasting service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 4.1 are set out in Schedule Four and Attachment 4.2 to this Determination.
One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 5.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the community radio broadcasting service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 5.1 is set out in Schedule Five and Attachments 5.2 and 5.3 to this Determination.
