11A Meaning of operational interference with maritime transport or offshore facilities
For the purposes of this Act, operational interference with maritime transport or offshore facilities means:
committing, or attempting to commit, an act that results in a relevant interference with the operation of a maritime industry participant; or
committing, or attempting to commit, an act that results in a relevant interference with a maritime asset; or
the occurrence of a hazard that results in a relevant interference with the operation of a maritime industry participant; or
the occurrence of a hazard that results in a relevant interference with a maritime asset.
However, operational interference with maritime transport or offshore facilities does not include any of the following:
unlawful interference with maritime transport or offshore facilities;
lawful advocacy, protest, dissent or industrial action.
