76B Delegation by Secretary
The Secretary may, in writing, delegate all or any of the functions or powers of the Secretary under this Act or a legislative instrument made under this Act to any of the following persons:
the Chief Executive Medicare;
an SES employee, or an acting SES employee, in the Department or the Department administered by the Minister administering the Human Services (Centrelink) Act 1997.
Sections 34AA to 34A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 contain provisions relating to delegations.
In performing a delegated function or exercising a delegated power, the delegate must comply with any written directions of the Secretary.
