Credits of amounts
15 Credits of amounts
The responsible Ministers may, by writing, determine that:
a specified amount is to be credited to the Medical Research Future Fund Special Account on a specified day; or
a specified amount is to be credited to the Medical Research Future Fund Special Account in specified instalments on specified days.
For variation and revocation, see subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.
Amounts must also be credited to the Medical Research Future Fund Special Account under sections 38, 49 and 51.
In making a determination under subsection (1), the responsible Ministers must (subject to subsection (4)) have regard to the object of this Act.
A determination under subsection (1) is a legislative instrument, but section 42 (disallowance) of the Legislation Act 2003 does not apply to the determination.
To avoid doubt, the responsible Ministers are not required to determine that any amounts are to be credited to the Medical Research Future Fund Special Account under this section (even if the amounts referred to in paragraph 34(4)(a) are not preserved over the long‑term).
