67C Soliciting disclosure of protected Commission information

Offence

(1)

A person commits an offence if:

(a)

the person solicits the disclosure of information from a Commission officer or another person, whether or not any protected Commission information is actually disclosed; and

(b)

the disclosure would be in contravention of this Part; and

(c)

the information is protected Commission information.

Penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years or 120 penalty units, or both.

Civil penalty

(2)

A person contravenes this subsection if

(a)

the person solicits the disclosure of information from a Commission officer or another person, whether or not any protected Commission information is actually disclosed; and

(b)

the disclosure would be in contravention of this Part; and

(c)

the information is protected Commission information.

Civil penalty: 120 penalty units.
