57 Appointment of authorised officers
(1)
The Regulator may, in writing, appoint:
(a)
an APS employee; or
(b)
an employee of a State or a Territory or of an authority of a State or a Territory;
to be an authorised officer for the purposes of this Division.
(2)
In exercising powers or performing functions as an authorised officer, an authorised officer must comply with any directions of the Regulator.
Note:
Section 122.4 of the Criminal Code creates an offence where Commonwealth officers (including persons performing services for or on behalf of the Commonwealth) disclose information in breach of a duty of confidentiality.
