70 Inspector may enter premises by consent or under a warrant
If an inspector has reasonable grounds for suspecting that there may be evidential material on any premises, the inspector may:
enter the premises; and
exercise the offence‑related powers set out in section 70A.
However, an inspector is not authorised to enter the premises unless:
the occupier of the premises has consented to the entry and the inspector has shown his or her identity card if required by the occupier; or
the entry is made under an offence‑related warrant.
If entry to the premises is with the occupier’s consent, the inspector must leave the premises if the consent ceases to have effect: see section 75.
