Native Title Act 1993

There are to be such Deputy Registrars of the Tribunal, and staff assisting the Tribunal, as are necessary.

The Deputy Registrars and the staff assisting the Tribunal are to be persons engaged under the Public Service Act 1999 and made available for the purpose by the Federal Court Chief Executive Officer.

The Federal Court Chief Executive Officer may, on behalf of the President, arrange with an Agency Head within the meaning of the Public Service Act 1999, or with an authority of the Commonwealth, for the services of officers or employees of the Agency or of the authority to be made available for the purposes of the Tribunal.

The Deputy Registrars and the staff assisting the Tribunal have such duties, powers and functions as are given by this Act, by the President or by the Federal Court Chief Executive Officer.
