162 Vessels to which this Part applies
This Part applies to a vessel:
that is 70 metres or longer in length overall; or
that is a loaded:
oil tanker; or
chemical carrier; or
liquefied gas carrier.
This Part applies to pilots and pilotage in relation to vessels referred to in subsection (1):
that are in, or in transit to or from, any waters of the coastal sea of Australia prescribed by the regulations; or
that are in any waters of the exclusive economic zone of Australia prescribed by the regulations.
This Part is not intended to affect the operation of any law of a State or Territory governing pilots or pilotage in relation to a port in the State or Territory that is capable of operating concurrently with this Part.
