140 Authorised safety zone officials
For the purposes of this Act, an authorised safety zone official is:
a member or special member of the Australian Federal Police; or
a member of the Defence Force; or
an officer of Customs within the meaning of the Customs Act 1901; or
a person who is an authorised safety zone official because of a determination under subsection (2).
The Regulator may, by notifiable instrument, determine that a person, or a person included in a specified class of persons, is an authorised safety zone official for the purposes of this Act.
State and Territory officials
An employee of a State or Territory must not be determine to be an authorised safety zone official under subsection (2) without the agreement of the State or Territory.
