81 Changes to the boundaries of the Commonwealth offshore area
If:
a licence has been granted on the basis that an area (the first area) is within the Commonwealth offshore area; and
as a result of a change to the boundary of the coastal waters of a State or Territory, the first area:
ceases to be within the Commonwealth offshore area; and
falls within the coastal waters of the State or Territory;
this Act applies in relation to the licence as if the first area were still within the Commonwealth offshore area.
Subsection (1):
continues to apply to the first area only:
while the licence remains in force; or
in relation to remediation or decommissioning in the first area after the licence ceases to be in force; and
does not apply in relation to an extension of the end day of the licence; and
if the licence is a feasibility licence—does not apply in relation to an application for a commercial licence in respect of the licence area.
