For the purposes of this Division, an online activity is an activity that consists of:
providing a social media service, so far as the service is provided to end‑users in Australia; or
providing a relevant electronic service, so far as the service is provided to end‑users in Australia; or
providing a designated internet service, so far as the service is provided to end‑users in Australia; or
providing an internet search engine service, so far as the service is provided to end‑users in Australia; or
providing an app distribution service, so far as the service is provided to end‑users in Australia; or
providing a hosting service, so far as the service hosts material in Australia; or
providing an internet carriage service, so far as the service is provided to customers in Australia; or
manufacturing, supplying, maintaining or installing any of the following equipment:
equipment that is for use by end‑users in Australia of a social media service in connection with the service;
equipment that is for use by end‑users in Australia of a relevant electronic service in connection with the service;
equipment that is for use by end‑users in Australia of a designated internet service in connection with the service;
equipment that is for use by end‑users in Australia of an internet carriage service in connection with the service.
