182 Delegation by the Commissioner to a contractor engaged by the Commissioner
The Commissioner may, by writing, delegate any or all of the Commissioner’s functions or powers to a person engaged by the Commissioner under subsection 185(1).
A delegate must comply with any written directions of the Commissioner.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a power to make, vary or revoke a legislative instrument.
Subsection (1) of this section does not apply to a function or power conferred by subsection 220A(1) (which deals with the formulation or variation of the internal review scheme).
Subsection (1) of this section does not apply to a function or power conferred by the internal review scheme (see section 220A).
Subsection (1) does not apply to a function or power conferred by any of the following provisions:
section 49;
section 56;
section 65;
section 66;
section 70;
section 77;
section 78;
section 79;
section 83;
section 88;
section 89;
section 90;
section 99;
section 109;
section 110;
section 114;
section 115;
section 119;
section 120;
section 124;
section 128;
section 143;
section 154;
section 156;
section 157;
section 158;
section 159;
section 194;
section 199;
section 200;
section 203.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a function or power conferred by the Regulatory Powers (Standard Provisions) Act 2014.
