Private Health Insurance Act 2007

The Secretary must, as soon as practicable after the end of each financial year that starts after the commencement of this section, prepare a written report in relation to the information published under section 324‑5 before the end of that year.

The report is not limited to information published in that year only.

Without limiting subsection (1), the report must include analysis of any trends in the published information, including, for example, trends in relation to:

changes in the median costs of particular kinds of *hospital treatments and *general treatments *covered by *complying health insurance policies; and

variations in those costs between different geographical areas where those treatments are provided.

The Secretary must give the Minister a copy of the report no later than 3 months after the end of that year.

The Minister must cause a copy of the report to be tabled in each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after the Minister receives the report.
