The production of ethene (ethylene) is the chemical transformation of hydrocarbons to produce ethene (ethylene (C₂H₄)) that has a concentration of ethene (ethylene (C₂H₄)) equal to or greater than 99%.

The production of ethene (ethylene) is specified as an emissions‑intensive trade‑exposed activity.
