This declaration is the Social Security (Declared Overseas Terrorist Act) Declaration 2017—London.

This declaration commences on the day after this instrument is registered.

In this declaration:

Act means the Social Security Act 1991.

terrorist act has the same meaning as in subsection 100.1(1) of the Criminal Code.

For the purposes of subsection 35B(1) of the Act, the following terrorist act is a declared overseas terrorist act:

The attack at approximately 2:40pm (local time) in London, England, between the eastern end of Westminster Bridge and the Members’ entrance to the Palace of Westminster in the Westminster New Palace Yard, on 22 March 2017.
