Duration of membership of PSSAP

In force

(1)

If a person becomes a member of PSSAP, the person’s membership continues until:

(a)

if there is only one occasion on which a benefit is payable to or in respect of the member in accordance with the Rules:

(i)

that benefit is paid; or

(ii)

if the person dies before that benefit is paid—the death of the person; or

(b)

if there are 2 or more occasions on which a benefit is paid to or in respect of the member in accordance with the Rules:

(i)

the last of those benefits is paid; or

(ii)

if the person dies before the last of those benefits is paid—the death of the person; or

(c)

in any other case—the death of the person.

(2)

A person does not cease to be a member of PSSAP merely because the person ceases to be eligible to become a member of PSSAP.

(3)

If a person ceases to be a member of PSSAP, this section does not prevent the person from subsequently becoming a member of PSSAP.
