Surplus Revenue Act 1908

This Act may be cited as the Surplus Revenue Act 1908.

This Act shall commence on a day to be fixed by proclamation.

The provision made by section ninetythree of the Constitution in relation to the crediting of revenue, the debiting of expenditure, and the payment of balances to the several States, shall continue until the commencement of this Act and no longer.

The Surplus Revenue Act 1908 was amended by Schedule 2 (item 1246) only of the Audit (Transitional and Miscellaneous) Amendment Act 1997, subsection 2(2) of which provides as follows:

Schedules 1, 2 and 4 commence on the same day as the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.
