Any of the following persons:
(a)
the Director‑General of Security;
(b)
the Director‑General of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service;
(c)
the Director‑General of the Australian Signals Directorate;
(d)
the chief officer of an interception agency;
may enter into a contract, agreement or arrangement with a designated communications provider in relation to acts or things done by the provider in accordance with a technical assistance request.
