Telecommunications business

In force

(1)

For the purposes of this Part, telecommunications business means:

(a)

a business that consists of or includes the supply of a listed carriage service; or

(b)

a business that consists of or includes the supply of a service that facilitates the supply of a listed carriage service; or

(c)

a business that consists of or includes installing, maintaining, operating or providing access to:

(i)

a telecommunications network; or

(ii)

a facility;

used to supply a listed carriage service; or

(d)

a business that is covered by a declaration under subsection (2);

but does not include a business that is covered by a declaration under subsection (3).

(2)

The Minister may, by legislative instrument, declare that a specified business is a telecommunications business for the purposes of this Part.

Note:

(3)

The Minister may, by legislative instrument, declare that a specified business is not a telecommunications business for the purposes of this Part.
