71 Matters to which the ACMA must have regard in making a decision about a permit
In deciding whether to grant a non‑protection zone installation permit, the ACMA must have regard to:
the objective of facilitating the supply of efficient, modern and cost‑effective carriage services to the public; and
if the Secretary of the Attorney‑General’s Department or the Home Affairs Secretary makes a submission to the ACMA under clause 70—that submission; and
any relevant technical and economic aspects of the installation; and
whether the installation involves co‑location of the submarine cable or cables to which the application relates with one or more other submarine cables; and
any other matters that the ACMA considers relevant.
