Telecommunications Act 1997

The Minister may, by legislative instrument, determine that a specified regulatory provision does not apply to a specified person in the person’s capacity as a designated carriage service provider. For this purpose, a designated carriage service provider is a person who is a carriage service provider under subsection 87(4) or (5).

A determination under this section may be unconditional or subject to such conditions (if any) as are specified in the determination.

A determination under this section has effect accordingly.

For the purposes of this section, a regulatory provision is a provision of:

this Act; or

any other law of the Commonwealth;
