52A Notice of intention to defend opposition to registration
(1)
If a notice of opposition is filed in accordance with section 52, the applicant may file a notice of intention to defend the application for registration of a trade mark.
Note:
Failure to file a notice of intention will result in the application lapsing: see section 54A.
(2)
The notice must be filed within the prescribed period, or within that period as extended by the Registrar in accordance with the regulations.
