The regulations may provide for matters that are necessary or convenient to be provided for in relation to claims for payments under section 77.

Without limiting subsection (1), the regulations made for the purposes of that subsection may provide for:

how a person is to make a claim under section 77; and

the time within which the person may make the claim; and

the information that the person making a claim must provide in support of the claim; and

the procedure to be followed in dealing with the claim; and

the method to be used to calculate the amount of a reduction in a water allocation to which the claim relates; and

the method to be used to calculate the change in market value of a water access entitlement in relation to which the claim is made.

Without limiting subsection (1), the regulations made for the purposes of that subsection may require a Basin State, an agency of a Basin State or another person, to give the Commonwealth, the Authority or another agency of the Commonwealth information for the purposes of dealing with a claim made under section 77.
